Lefse Pins
$45.00 – $50.00
Lefse is a traditional Scandinavian specialty. It is similar to a soft flatbread or tortilla and is made with a potato base. Lefse pins are designed with grooves carved into the roller, which help press air out of the dough and prevent dough from sticking to the pin. (Some people also cover their lefse pins with a thin sleeves which can be purchased at most major retailers.)
Our lefse pins are similar to our shaker-style pins. They are one solid piece of wood (as opposed to a roller that spins on a metal rod.) Because both the roller and handles spin as one, there are no moving parts for dough to gum up. It’s also easier to exert more pressure with each stroke.
These pins are made with hard maple. Their light tone and clean lines give them a fresh, pure beauty.
Upkeep: Wash by wiping with a rag and hot water. Do not submerge. The rolling pin should be re-coated with mineral oil when it starts to lose its luster. Buy our mineral oil here.
